Basketball Recap: Peabody-Burns Takes a Loss

Peabody-Burns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Rural Vista [Hope/White City] Heat 71-26. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-25 two weeks ago.

Despite the loss, Peabody-Burns had strong showings from Jameson Miles, who posted 15 points and six rebounds, and Aiden Hurst, who earned ten points. That was a full 57.7% of Peabody-Burns' points, marking the fifth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points.

Koden Sanford had an outrageously good game for Rural Vista [Hope/White City] as he went 7 for 9 en route to 17 points. Those 17 points gave Sanford a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Parker, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 14 points.

Peabody-Burns' defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Rural Vista [Hope/White City], they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
