Football Recap: Greencastle-Antrim Comes Up Short

Greencastle-Antrim fell victim to Trinity and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Shamrocks, falling 35-0. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing 42-13 to the Shamrocks when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lane Barry threw for 122 yards on ten of 23 attempts. Noah Shifflett was his top target, picking up 66 receiving yards. On the ground, Blake Reuter rushed for 54 yards.

Brandon Harris was a one-man wrecking crew For Trinity. as he rushed for 181 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Those 181 rushing yards gave Harris a new career-high. Sam Sweppenhiser made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Greencastle-Antrim dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Trinity, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Greencastle-Antrim will be playing at home against Milton Hershey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity, they will face off against Boiling Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Shamrocks will be up against the Bubblers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
