Recap: Woodland Hills Wolverines vs. Fox Chapel Foxes
The Woodland Hills Wolverines were the 56-47 winner over the Fox Chapel Foxes when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Woodland Hills took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fox Chapel. While losing is never fun, Woodland Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Fox Chapel is ranked 105th).
Fox Chapel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caden Kaiser led the charge by scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Will Siegel, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Woodland Hills has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Fox Chapel, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.
Woodland Hills will look to defend their home court on Sunday against Roosevelt at 2:30 p.m. As for Fox Chapel, they will head out on the road to face off against Shaler Area at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shaler Area will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
