Soccer Game Preview: Miller School of Albemarle vs. New Covenant

Miller School of Albemarle is 0-4 against New Covenant since October of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Mavericks will take on the Gryphons at 4:30 p.m.

Miller School of Albemarle fell victim to Eastern Mennonite and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 4-0 to the Flames. One reason for the loss might be Miller School of Albemarle's aggressive play style: three Miller School of Albemarle players were handed yellow cards.

Meanwhile, New Covenant entered their tilt with Carlisle on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Chiefs get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. New Covenant might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by five goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Carlisle from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Evan Bosak led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

New Covenant's victory bumped their record up to 11-1-1. As for Miller School of Albemarle, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Miller School of Albemarle suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to New Covenant in their previous matchup back in September of 2021. Can the Mavericks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
