Volleyball Recap: Vermilion Triumphs

Clyde came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Vermilion, but Delaney Russell wouldn't allow it. The Sailors came out on top against the Fliers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday thanks in part to Russell, who had 28 digs and two aces. Russell is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-16.

Vermilion's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Clyde, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Vermilion and Clyde will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Sailors will square off against rival Willard at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Clyde is set to face off against their familiar foe Bellevue at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
