Softball Recap: Rogers Comes Up Short

Rogers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 12-7 to the Emmanuel Christian Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 last Friday.

Da'Mya Boles was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Stacey Kynard was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Emmanuel Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Rogers will take on Fostoria at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Emmanuel Christian, they have already played their next contest, a 24-3 win against Ottawa Hills on the 12th.
