Basketball Game Preview: Washington County Commanders vs. Marion County Knights

The Washington County Commanders will square off against the Marion County Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Washington County ended up a good deal behind Southern and lost 68-51. The Commanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Marion County lost to Adair County at home by a 75-56 margin on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Indians are ranked 24th).

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Marion County, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Washington County came up short against Marion County when the teams last played back in January, falling 58-48. Can Washington County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
