Football Recap: Korry Burns Key Part of Team Effort in Wildcats Win

The Willow Canyon Wildcats beat the Fairfax Stampede 14-6 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Willow Canyon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Korry Burns, who rushed for 88 yards and one TD. Those 88 rushing yards gave Burns a new career-high. Tate Callan helped out on the ground, rushing for 80 yards.

Willow Canyon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Maurice Morrison and Jadin Ferrer.

Willow Canyon now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fairfax, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willow Canyon will welcome Browne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fairfax, they will square off against Tolleson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Stampede will need to watch out since the Wolverines have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
