Soccer Recap: Orion/Sherrard Takes a Loss

Orion/Sherrard was the 1-0 winner over Illinois Valley Central when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The United took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grey Ghosts on Wednesday. Orion/Sherrard have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their goal came courtesy of Kaden Dutton, which was the first he's scored this season.

Orion/Sherrard's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-2. As for Illinois Valley Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-4 record this season.

Orion/Sherrard will venture away from home to face off against Galesburg at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Illinois Valley Central, they will host Peoria Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
