Basketball Game Preview: Charles Page Sandites vs. Northwest Classen Knights

After both having extra time off, the Charles Page Sandites and the Northwest Classen Knights will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Two weeks ago, Charles Page made easy work of Edison and carried off a 67-42 win. The Sandites have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Deke Thompson, who went 12 for 21 on his way to 28 points and six steals. Those six steals gave him a new career-high. Kooper Kelly was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Northwest Classen, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They took down Sapulpa 74-60 two weeks ago.

Northwest Classen is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Charles Page, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Charles Page strolled past Northwest Classen when the teams last played back in December of 2018 by a score of 83-69. Does Charles Page have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northwest Classen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
