Football Recap: Lakeview Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Lanier Christian Academy + How To Watch

Lakeview Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lanier Christian Academy Lightning on Saturday. The Lions gained 123 more yards on the day, but it was the Lightning that made the best use of them.

Despite the loss, Lakeview Academy still got an impressive performance from Christian Dikes, who rushed for 62 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Ben Hargis went supernova For Lanier Christian Academy., rushing for 102 yards and one score on only 11 carries. Hargis showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 57 yards.

Coming up, Lakeview Academy will be playing at home against Piedmont Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Lanier Christian Academy, they will head out to square off against King's Ridge Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
