First Colonial never got on the board in their matchup last Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Bayside on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Marlins. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won three contests by six runs or more so far this season.

First Colonial's record now sits at 4-2. As for Bayside, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. First Colonial will venture away from home to challenge Norfolk Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bayside, they will head out to face off against Green Run at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Stallions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.67 runs per game on average), something the Marlins will no doubt try to take advantage of.
