Football Game Preview: Amite Warriors vs. Bogalusa Lumberjacks

Amite is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will venture away from home to challenge the Bogalusa Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Amite has three straight wins, Bogalusa has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Amite and Kentwood had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Warriors enjoyed a cozy 21-6 victory over the Kangaroos on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Bogalusa fell victim to Liberty Magnet and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Patriots 64-0.

Amite's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Bogalusa, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Amite against Bogalusa when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 51-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
