Recap: Moore Haven Terriers vs. Avon Park Red Devils
After flying high against the Glades Day Gators last Thursday, the Moore Haven Terriers came back down to earth. Moore Haven took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils on Friday. Moore Haven was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Avon Park was led to victory by Christopher Kelly and Karl Pierre-Louis. Kelly scored 14 points, while Pierre-Louis scored 20 points. Tayon Jones was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Moore Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Avon Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season.
Moore Haven and the Blue Devils will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Avon Park, they will play host again and welcome the Tornadoes, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Booker is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
