Softball Game Preview: Chief Sealth Seahawks vs. Ingraham Rams

The Chief Sealth Seahawks will head out to face off against the Ingraham Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Chief Sealth will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against Franklin on Monday. The Seahawks were the clear victors by a 27-12 margin over the Quakers. The victory continues a trend for the Seahawks in their matchups with the Quakers: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Ingraham entered their tilt with Rainier Beach on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Vikings 22-4.

Chief Sealth's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 23.8 runs over those games. As for Ingraham, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.

Everything went Chief Sealth's way against Ingraham when the teams last played back in March, as Chief Sealth made off with a 24-9 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Seahawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
