Baseball Recap: Lawton Takes a Loss

Lawton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 32nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to the Lone Grove Longhorns. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Wolverines couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lawton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Qynn Plata, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. Those two stolen bases gave Plata a new career-high.

Lawton's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Lone Grove, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Lawton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-5 victory against Anadarko on the 20th. As for Lone Grove, they have also already played their next game, a 15-1 win against Comanche on the 24th.
