Softball Game Preview: Campbell-Savona Panthers vs. Addison Knights

Campbell-Savona is 2-8 against Addison since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Knights at 5:00 p.m. Campbell-Savona has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for Campbell-Savona's offense. They lost 16-0 to Arkport Central on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Addison, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Canisteo-Greenwood 18-17. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won four in a row.

Chloe Brown was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (two). Khloe Snow was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four runs and one double.

Addison's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Campbell-Savona, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Campbell-Savona has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Addison struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
