After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Vermont Academy, Proctor Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the New Hampton School Huskies. This was payback for the Hornets, who suffered a 9-1 loss the last time these two teams met.
The team relied heavily on Bode Dodge, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.
Proctor Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for New Hampton School, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 2-4-1.
Proctor Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Huskies: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
