Recap: Oswayo Valley Green Wave vs. Galeton Tigers
After flying high against the Smethport Hubbers on Monday, the Oswayo Valley Green Wave came back down to earth. Oswayo Valley was dealt a 59-26 loss at the hands of Galeton on Wednesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oswayo Valley in their matchups with Galeton: they've now lost four in a row.
Connor Resig was Oswayo Valley's leading scorer, having posted seven points.
Nik Bonney held things down on the boards with five rebounds. Bonney took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Galeton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Braiden Cimino out in front who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 1 assists. Corey Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 8 steals and 5 rebounds.
Oswayo Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Galeton, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oswayo Valley will take on Austin at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Galeton, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Canton at 8:30 p.m. Hopefully Canton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
