After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Woodside, San Mateo was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Jefferson Grizzlies onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in January.

San Mateo's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Jefferson, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-14.

San Mateo's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Jefferson, they will take on Hillsdale at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hillsdale's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Jefferson's offense will have their work cut out for them.
