Basketball Game Preview: Baird Bears vs. Strawn Greyhounds

The Baird Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Strawn Greyhounds at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Baird is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-15, which was the final score in Baird's tilt against Eula on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 982nd, while the Pirates are ranked 138th).

Strawn played against Ranger and won via forfeit.

Baird now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Strawn, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.

Baird was dealt a bruising 65-35 defeat at the hands of Strawn in their previous meeting on January 7th. Can Baird avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
