After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Rivercrest finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Walnut Ridge Bobcats by a score of 2-1. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Rivercrest moved to 3-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Walnut Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Rivercrest will take on Hoxie at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Colts are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Walnut Ridge, they will head out on the road to challenge Harrisburg at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
