The Wheaton Academy Warriors will take on the Aurora Christian Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Wheaton Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over St. Edward on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The team relied heavily on Dom Murrell, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eli Tate, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Wheaton Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Aurora Christian made easy work of Westminster Christian on Wednesday and carried off a 14-4 victory. Considering the Eagles have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Nolan Robertson spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on five hits.
At the plate, Jack Burns was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. He also put up a stolen base, which was his first of the season. Jackson Zorger was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Wheaton Academy and bumps their season record up to 9-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Aurora Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
Wheaton Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Aurora Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-1. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
