Baseball Game Preview: MICDS Rams vs. De Smet Jesuit Spartans

The MICDS Rams will challenge the De Smet Jesuit Spartans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as MICDS comes in on five and De Smet Jesuit on three.

On Wednesday, MICDS was able to grind out a solid victory over Whitfield, taking the game 9-4.

Garrett Liberman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brian Gould, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two triples. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Eliyah Powell was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

De Smet Jesuit came out on top against Chaminade on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Spartans walked away with a 6-1 win over the Red Devils.

De Smet Jesuit's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for MICDS, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
