DSST: Montview was the 71-67 winner over Manual when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The DSST: Montview Knights fell 72-62 to the Manual Thunderbolts on Friday. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Manual's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marco Arriaga, who posted 21 points. Zubayr Carpenter was another key player, going 6 for 11 en route to 14 points and six rebounds.

DSST: Montview's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-5. As for Manual, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DSST: Montview will welcome Denver West at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Denver West will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something DSST: Montview surely won't give up without a fight. As for Manual, they will square off against Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Manual is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.1 points per game this season.
