Softball Recap: Cuthbertson Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cuthbertson can now relate to. They fell just short of the East Forsyth Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Cavaliers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Gabby Martens made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Cuthbertson's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-12. As for East Forsyth, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Cuthbertson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Forsyth, they will take on Porter Ridge on Tuesday.
