Volleyball Recap: Sabrina Britton Key Part of Team Effort in Eagles Win

St. John Paul II Academy won the last time they faced American Heritage and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles blew past the Stallions 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

St. John Paul II Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept American Heritage between 14 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. John Paul II Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sabrina Britton, who had 20 digs. Those 20 digs gave Britton a new career-high. Emily Rodriguez was another key player, getting 25 assists.

St. John Paul II Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as American Heritage only served three.

Several Stallions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Arianna Alves, who had ten assists and five digs. Another player making a difference was Daniela Staton, who had 11 digs and one assist.

St. John Paul II Academy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for American Heritage, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
