Football Game Preview: Granite City Warriors vs. Carbondale Terriers + How To Watch

The Granite City Warriors will square off against the Carbondale Terriers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Granite City's offense hasn't had much luck over their past five matchups, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Granite City is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Collinsville on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Warriors were outmatched by the Kahoks and fell 50-3. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Meanwhile, Carbondale came up short against Centralia on Friday and fell 35-23.

Granite City will need to focus on slowing down Davin Wooley, one of several Carbondale players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 85 yards, and also threw for 80 yards and one TD.

Carbondale's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Granite City, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Granite City took a serious blow against Carbondale when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 69-7. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Wooley, who threw for 250 yards and five touchdowns while completing 81.2% of his passes.
