South Brunswick had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the West Bladen Knights as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2017.
South Brunswick never let West Bladen on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-22.
Sophie Arman paced South Brunswick's offense, picking up 11 kills. Arman got some help from Savana Burgess and her 20 assists. Burgess also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mary (Faith) Baker, racking up four apiece.
South Brunswick's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for West Bladen, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 10-2 record.
South Brunswick wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Red Springs on the 24th. As for West Bladen, they will welcome Whiteville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
