Volleyball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Timothy Christian

Timothy Christian picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against the Elgin Maroons by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

The win didn't come easy: Elgin scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21.

Timothy Christian's offense was headlined by Trevor Munk and James Matousek, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Owen Wise and his ten assists. Connor Firnsin controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Timothy Christian's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Elgin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Coincidentally, Timothy Christian and Elgin will both be playing Streamwood the next time they take the court. The Maroons will head out to face the Sabres at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
