Basketball Recap: Van-Far Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Elliott Utterback and Chloe Zumwalt

Van-Far was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Mark Twain Tigers, falling 52-26. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 25-5.

Van-Far's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Chloe Zumwalt, who went 5 of 10 to rack up 10 points along with six boards and five blocks, and Elliott Utterback, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds. Those five blocks gave Zumwalt a new career-high.

Van-Far's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Mark Twain, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.
