Basketball Recap: Dobson Drops Season-High Score on South Mountain

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dobson). They came out on top against the South Mountain Jaguars by a score of 56-44 on Thursday.

Dobson was led to victory by Tremaine Turner and Julian Acereto. Turner almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds, while Acereto posted 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Those 14 points gave Turner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Wicks, who had 11 points.

Despite the loss, South Mountain still got an impressive performance from Kaedience Koronich, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Koronich continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Mario Pacheco was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Dobson now has a winning record of 4-3. As for South Mountain, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Dobson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 86-25 win against San Luis on the 10th. As for South Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-58 defeat against North on the 6th.
