Football Game Preview: D'Iberville Warriors vs. Petal Panthers + Official Tickets

The D'Iberville Warriors will square off against the Petal Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. D'Iberville will be strutting in after a win while Petal will be coming in after a loss.

D'Iberville's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 28-0 victory over Biloxi. Considering the Warriors have won six matchups by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Jordan Walley, who rushed for 120 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 105 yards while completing 85.7% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Johnson, who gained 50 total yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Petal faced Northwest Rankin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Panthers fell 34-28 to the Cougars. While the Panthers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Cougars 15-10.

D'Iberville's record now sits at 8-2. As for Petal, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
