Basketball Game Preview: Sabine Cardinals vs. West Rusk Raiders

The Sabine Cardinals are taking a road trip to challenge the West Rusk Raiders at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. West Rusk took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Sabine, who comes in off a win.

Sabine will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Gladewater, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Sabine walked away with a 37-30 victory over Gladewater on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Meanwhile, West Rusk didn't have quite enough to beat White Oak on Friday and fell 41-39. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sabine's win bumped their record up to 6-17. As for West Rusk, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Sabine came up short against West Rusk when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 48-44. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of West Rusk's Keke Murphy, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.
