It was a good run, but Homestead unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to the Los Altos Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Eagles are ranked 93rd).

Homestead's goal came courtesy of Mark Garstka, who's now up to three this season.

Homestead's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1-3 and their overall record down to 5-4-5. As for Los Altos, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3-3 record this season.

Homestead has already played their next match (against Palo Alto), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Los Altos will host Los Gatos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Los Altos is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.
