Softball Recap: Palmer Comes Up Short

Palmer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-3 to the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly six runs.

Palmer saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenli Dobie, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Dobie a new career-high in hits (three).

Palmer's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Midlothian Heritage, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Palmer will be playing in front of their home fans against Sunnyvale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmer is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Midlothian Heritage, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Jaguars face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Midlothian Heritage also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 9.3 runs per game.
