The Bradford Prep Bears will challenge the Mountain Island Charter Raptors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

Bradford Prep came up into this matchup off a tough 22-point defeat last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Lincoln Charter by a score of 42-40 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Eagles are ranked 137th).

Meanwhile, Mountain Island Charter came up short against Langtree Charter Academy on Thursday and fell 84-71. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (68), the Raptors still had to take the loss.

Mountain Island Charter now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Bradford Prep, they now also have a losing record at 7-8.

Bradford Prep strolled past Mountain Island Charter in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 65-49. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Mountain Island Charter's Christan Jones, who posted 24 points.
