Volleyball Recap: Aquinas Falls Despite Big Games from Sarah Coufal and Marissa Miratsky

Aquinas came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds.

Aquinas took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-10, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Aquinas had strong showings from Marissa Miratsky, who had ten digs and one assist, and Sarah Coufal, who had seven digs. Jacqueline Comte also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Aquinas' loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-26. As for Johnson County Central, the win keeps them at an undefeated 29-0.

Aquinas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Johnson County Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Bergan Catholic on the 28th.
