Volleyball Recap: Berkeley Springs Comes Up Short

Berkeley Springs was the 3-0 winner over Moorefield when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians came up short against the Yellow Jackets on Monday, falling 3-0. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-21, 25-18.

Abigail Close paced Berkeley Springs' offense, picking up eight kills. Close got some help from Madalyn Close and her 16 assists. Madalyn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Berkeley Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Moorefield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12.

Berkeley Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Petersburg on the 14th. Moorefield has also already played their next match (against Tucker County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
