Volleyball Recap: Western Sierra Collegiate Academy's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Western Sierra Collegiate Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Sacramento Adventist last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves fell 3-1 to the Faith Christian Lions on Tuesday. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 10-25, 25-20, 25-15.

Faith Christian can attribute much of their success to Mandy-Gail Fitzgerald, who had 14 digs and one assist. That assist was Fitzgerald's first of the season.

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8. As for Faith Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Coincidentally, Western Sierra Collegiate Academy and Faith Christian will both be playing Sacramento Country Day the next time they take the court. The Wolves will host the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lions will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
