Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Falls Short of South Adams in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the South Adams Starfires on Thursday. The Braves' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

CiCi Sefton paced Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian's offense, picking up 11 kills. Sefton got some help from Myllah Sommer and her 20 assists. Lily Stangland controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

South Adams got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was GenaMarie Summersett out in front who had six digs and four aces.

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for South Adams, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 23-8.

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Adams, they will square off against Woodlan at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
