Basketball Recap: Lunenburg Central Takes a Loss

Lunenburg Central was the 49-12 winner over Randolph-Henry when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lunenburg Central Chargers took a 33-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Randolph-Henry Statesmen on Tuesday. The Chargers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Lunenburg Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Randolph-Henry, they moved to 1-11 with that victory, which also ended their 20-game losing streak.

Lunenburg Central will be playing at home against Nottoway at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Randolph-Henry, they will head out to square off against Prince Edward County at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Prince Edward County's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Randolph-Henry has been banged up by 13 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
