Volleyball Recap: San Marcos' Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Hart last Thursday, San Marcos came back down to earth. The Royals fell just short of the Oaks Christian Lions by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Royals in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost five in a row.

San Marcos wouldn't go down easily and took Oaks Christian into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 13-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19, 10-25, 19-25, 15-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, San Marcos fell to 2-1. As for Oaks Christian, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Marcos will host Royal at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oaks Christian, they will take on Notre Dame (SO) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
