Volleyball Recap: Lucy Gonzalez and Adele Veach Secure Win for Wesleyan Christian Academy + How To Watch

Wesleyan Christian Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Cannon Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win. The Trojans were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Cougars, so the Trojans were just returning the favor.

Wesleyan Christian Academy was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-15.

Wesleyan Christian Academy was led to victory by Adele Veach and Lucy Gonzalez. Veach had 12 digs and three assists, while Gonzalez had nine digs. Those nine digs gave Gonzalez a new career-high.

Cannon's loss came despite strong showings from Emmi Coppa and Mia McHugh. Coppa had ten digs and one assist, while McHugh had two assists. Coppa is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Wesleyan Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Cannon, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Wesleyan Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Davidson Day on the 21st. As for Cannon, they will venture away from home to face off against Providence Day at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
