Football Recap: Tascosa Rebels vs. Coronado Mustangs        
        
		
             There's no place like home for Tascosa, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Friday. They came out on top against the Coronado Mustangs by a score of  29-16  on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rebels also won the last time the pair played  back in November of 2023.
 The critical scores for Tascosa came from  Tj Tillman,  Reese Cabe,  Andrew Nick,  and  Coltyn Fulton.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Tascosa's defense and their three sacks. In that department,  Krush Johnson was the leader with two. He also set a new season high mark in  total tackles with 11.
 Tascosa was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 213  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coronado only rushed for 112.
 Coronado lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Demarion Finch, who rushed for 105 yards, and also picked up 54 receiving yards and a touchdown. Another signal caller making a difference was  Isaiah Vazquez, who threw for 322 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt.
 Tascosa's record now sits at 2-3. As for Coronado,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-4.
 Tascosa has already played their next contest,  a  56-7  victory against Lubbock on the 3rd. As for Coronado, they also  didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  42-12  loss against Monterey on the 4th.
