Softball Recap: Lutheran West's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against St. Martin de Porres last Wednesday, Lutheran West came back down to earth. Lutheran West came up short against the Bard Early College Raptors on Friday, falling 20-13. The loss put an end to the Longhorns' undefeated start to the season.

Julianna 'Jules' Stilley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Stilley is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Aryana 'Ary' Garcia was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lutheran West fell to 2-1.

Lutheran West and Bard Early College will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Lutheran West will square off against rival Wickliffe at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Bard Early College is set to take on their familiar foe Glenville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
