Williamstown is 9-1 against Ravenswood since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets will welcome the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Williamstown sitting on three straight wins and Ravenswood on five.

Williamstown barely beat Grafton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Yellowjackets put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 13-3 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Ravenswood sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Clay County on Friday.

Evan Swain made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Those 17 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Cooper Anderson was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Ravenswood's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-1 (and 6-7 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Evan Hickman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Ravenswood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .391 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Ravenswood's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Williamstown, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.

Everything went Williamstown's way against Ravenswood in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Williamstown made off with a 12-2 win. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
