Baseball Recap: Walhalla's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Walhalla had lost five games straight , but after bumping their record up to 14-10 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers 5-4. This was a revenge game for the Razorbacks: when they faced off against the Cavaliers back in March, they had to take a 4-2 loss.

Walhalla saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tobie Lowe, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Jackson Higgs also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

As for Christ Church Episcopal, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

On Christ Church Episcopal's side, Robert Howell was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Blake Foral made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Carter Phillips was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walhalla will challenge Palmetto at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Christ Church Episcopal, they will square off against J.L. Mann at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
