Basketball Recap: Atlantic Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Atlantic couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 54-33 to the Cherokee Washington Braves on Saturday. The Trojans have struggled against the Braves recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Atlantic's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Cherokee Washington, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

Atlantic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cherokee Washington, they will challenge Estherville Lincoln Central on March 3rd. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Estherville Lincoln Central comes in on five and Cherokee Washington on three.
