Softball Recap: Bradley-Bourbonnais Comes Up Short

Bradley-Bourbonnais was the 5-0 winner over Lockport when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Boilermakers fell just short of the Porters by a score of 5-3 on Monday.

Lydia Hammond put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Hammond was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Bella Pusateri was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Bradley-Bourbonnais' record now sits at 13-9. As for Lockport, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9.

Looking ahead, Bradley-Bourbonnais will welcome Bishop McNamara at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lockport, they are taking a road trip to face off against Stagg at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
